SKDCllr Green advised that SKDC are sourcing quotes for the replacement swings at the Wild Witham play park. Clerk given SKDC rep’s contact details to enquire/ expedite the swings install. SKDC council tax breaks for veterans scheme (band A properties) has been halted due to potential discrimination claims. In the absence of LCCllr Vernon and SKDCllr Bellamy no update on village flooding investigations, clerk to further chase.

Additional payments; MCS VH grass cutting ( 2 cuts Jun) £340.00
Village Hall, Cllrs Parish & van Straubenzee
VH flat roof Cllr Parish advised she has one quote in for the VH fibreglass flat roof work (100 sq mtr), replacement rather than repair recommended by the contractor due to the roof age, to prevent further issues/ patching. Quote from NK Wright roofing for £9.7k. Cllr Parish to source other quotes.Clerk to make enquiries regarding local grants available for this work.
Other VH matters
Cllr van Straubenzee had reported in prior to the PC meeting, that a boiler issue (no hot water) had been fixed by Mr Dalby (air lock due to hot water run constantly). She had also provided detailed information to the VHMC, to share with VH users to prevent future hot water issues.
VH car parking bramble area - Cllrs Kinning and Golding agreed to cut back / tidy this area with assistance from a resident present at the PC meeting, who offered to help. Cllr Kinning to request further village help via SW FB once a date has been agreed. Cllr White has agreed to remove the resulting waste.
Play areas, Cllr Oldfield
VH rec play park – monthly inspection / maintenance
Cllr Oldfield reported in prior to meeting, that he will request councillor help soon with play equipmentpainting and cleaning work. He will also repair the wetpour play surface. He has another £40 tin can money to bank but suggests the total to raise prior to grant sourcing needs to be in the region of £15k, more fundraising needed to reach this target.

Planning Matters 24-70
New planning applications received by SKDC for Parish Council comment
S24/0568, Erection of an anaerobic digestion (AD) facility and carbon capture, improvement of existing and part creation of new access track, landscaping and other associated infrastructure. Location: Development East Of Sewstern Industrial Estate South Of, Sewstern Road, Gunby - additional information supplied- proposed drainage plan, (deadline 3/7/24) and additional drawings (deadline 9/7/24) – no further PC comments to submit.
S24/0905, land east of Park Farm Access Road, Morkery Lane, Castle Bytham,, remove and replace timber framed building for use as a dwelling- no objections
New planning applications received by SKDC for Parish Council comment after the publication of the agenda none
SKDC planning permissions granted/refused
S24/0632, 14 Church St, replace existing garden gazebo with one of similar dimensions constructed of redwood timber with a full weatherproof feather edge timber roof – listed building consent approved by SKDC.
S24/0822, 4 Water Lane, T1 roadside Horsechestnut - crown raised to 5.2 metres to give adequate clearance to the highway - work allowed by SKDC.

LALC Enews, LCC Right of Way survey/ Improvement Plan – clerk to reply to survey on PC behalf (assisted by a resident with local knowledge) and to chase up outstanding footpath maintenance work- footpaths 12 & 13. SKDC mapping layers to PCs/ Town Councils– clerk to apply for access to information, Environment Agency – information on maintenance of water courses.
